Aditya Hospitals Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology is a leading facility staffed with eminent and renowned pediatricians, providing comprehensive healthcare services from newborns to adolescents. The department boasts both inpatient and outpatient services, with a specially designed pediatric ward on the 4th floor, comprising 32 beds, excluding Intensive Care Units (ICUs).

Pediatric Ward Environment:

Our Pediatric Department ensures a technically excellent and highly personalized medical care environment. The pediatric ward is thoughtfully designed to be flashy and playful, creating a fresh and lively atmosphere for the children. Resembling a room at home, the ward exudes a child-friendly and soothing ambiance. Our nurses, selected for their excellent nursing skills and compassion towards children, contribute to the warm and respectful environment.

Inpatient Services:

  1. Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU):

    • The hospital houses a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with a 12-bedded level-II and a 5-bedded level III intensive care setup. Our PICU handles all pediatric emergencies, including convulsions, shock, poisoning, burns, infections, and provides facilities for total parental nutrition and pediatric surgical care round the clock.
  2. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU):

    • The Level III NICU comprises 16 beds and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including PHEONIX and GIRAFEE BEDS, HIGH-FREQUENCY VENTILATORS, and warmer-integrated phototherapy. Trained nurses and doctors staff this special care unit, providing expert care for preterm and sick newborns.

 

Specialized Pediatric & Neonatal Surgery:

General Pediatric Surgery: This encompasses a wide array of surgical services tailored specifically for pediatric patients, addressing conditions such as hernias, appendicitis, and congenital abnormalities.

Neonatal Surgery: Dedicated surgical care designed for newborns, focusing on delicate procedures to correct congenital defects and address neonatal surgical emergencies.

Pediatric Urology, Thoracic Surgery, and Laparoscopic Surgery: Comprehensive services catering to specific pediatric surgical needs, including conditions related to the urinary system, thorax, and minimally invasive procedures performed through laparoscopy.

Emergency Pediatric Surgical Services: Specialized care for pediatric emergencies, including the removal of foreign bodies, repair of cleft lip and palate, and management of burns or scalds in children, ensuring prompt and effective treatment in critical situations.

Scope of Pediatrics:

Emergency Services: Round-the-clock availability of pediatric and neonatal emergency care, trauma services, and resuscitation facilities to address urgent medical needs in infants and children.

Inpatient Services: Comprehensive inpatient care facilities including a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Level III Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), pediatric and maternity wards, private accommodations, and specialized resuscitation services for critically ill babies and children.

Facilities: State-of-the-art equipment and facilities such as non-invasive and invasive ventilators, administration of vasoactive drugs, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, high-flow oxygen therapy, age-specific renal replacement therapy for pediatric and neonatal patients, and a fully-equipped neonatal transport incubator with an integrated ventilator system.

Outpatient Services:

General OPD and Private OPD: Accessible outpatient services offering general and private consultations with pediatric specialists, providing personalized care and treatment plans.

Vaccinations, Nebulization, and Health Education: Comprehensive outpatient care including vaccination services, nebulization therapy for respiratory conditions, and health education sessions for parents and caregivers to promote child wellness and preventive healthcare practices.
